Dial M for Monster Kevin Nikkel A frustrated younger sibling refuses to be the victim of her older brother's scaring, so she hires a monster to get even. Lead Pipe Vigilante Kick Jaxon Lead Pipe is a very disturbed young man! Anyone that falls outside his self-proclaimed moral code falls victim to his lead pipe. Theft Over Karl Jones Bad luck for a disgruntled man; he's dumped by his girlfriend for a new lover, and his car is being stolen. His old girlfriend is about to discover the bloody disappearance of her new guy. The Fever of the Western Nile deco dawson Summer passings observed the enigmatic West Nile malady steal its way into the minds and forests of Winnipeg wanderers, casting its feverish amnesia spell; immobilizing wooded creatures collectively pleading to be cured and released of their infirmity. A caution wanderer disregards her own ailment to aid the others as best she can; however the forest hosts its own fevers. Strawboy Daniel Eskin Set in the world of dreams and fantasy, a young boy attempts to solve his mother's murder while confined to a staircase. Ultimately a story of a boy emerging from childhood and accepting responsibility, "strawboy" examines those often hazy borders between fantasy and reality, and those between early life and adulthood. |
